Mark Gliebe speaks on the issue of Pride. He takes a look at many different places where pride is found in Scripture. There are both negative and positive forms of pride. His first example of pride is seen in Satan and his goal of corrupting found in Isaiah 14:12-13, Revelation 1:20, Luke 10:18, Ezekiel 28:17, and 1 Timothy 3:6. His second example is Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:1-6 and 1 John 2:16. He also looks at the pride of King Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20:12-19. He also uses Proverbs 1:7, 3:34, 16:18-19, and Mark 7:20-23. He concludes with a good form of pride in Isaiah 60:15 and Jeremiah 9:23-24.

Galen Smith shares on the deity of Christ. Here he discusses the question of whether Jesus is the ‘Son of God’ or ‘God the Son?’ His main text is John 10:30-39. This message was originally scheduled for February 9, but due to inclimate weather, it was postponed until February 16. Below is the handout that was given for notes.

Dustin Rose finishes our study in 2 Thessalonians. Here he covers Paul’s plea for prayer and his instructions on working. Paul gives teaching on continuing to work and dealing with those who refuse to work. Dustin then concludes the book. His text is 2 Thessalonians 3:1-18.

Dustin Rose continues with 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17. He covers the persecution of Christians and how to stand firm through it. We must remember that we are loved, we are chosen, and we are are called by God. With these facts we are to stand fast and to hold on to the traditions.

Dustin Rose continues with 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12. Here he deals with the Tribulation and if it is for the Church. The Day of the Lord, the Restrainer being removed from the midst, the revealing of the Man of Lawlessness and the rebuilding of the Temple are all covered. Then he lists the methods of Satan in this period of time.

Dustin Rose begins our study through 2 Thessalonians. He gives a brief introduction to this book and explains Paul’s instruction for hope. In this chapter, Paul addresses persecution and the judgments of the end times. The main text is 2 Thessalonians 1:1-12. 

Mark Gliebe shares with us on the prophecies of Jesus found in Zechariah 11. Mark takes each of the prophecies of this text and shows where it has been fulfilled or when it will be fulfilled in the future. 

Dustin Rose finishes our study in 1 Thessalonians. Here he speaks about Christian living. The instruction is on our relationship with church leaders, other believers and with the Lord. The text is 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28.

Here he speaks on the power of hope and how we are to live in the expectation of it. We are to love, keep working with our hands, and to live quiet lives in our community. The text is 1 Thessalonians 4:9-18.

Tom West continues with his series on Faith. He deals with how we trust God in our everyday life. Faith produces reward, produces action, and is passed on. His main text is Hebrews 11.

Mark Gliebe speaks on Humility. He ties it into how we should be behaving towards one another within the church. His main Scriptural text is Galatians 5:13-26. He also uses Romans 6:12-13 and Colossians 3:3.

Tom West speaks on “Faith.” He spoke about trusting God like a child trusts her father. It is impossible to please God without faith. Tom compares the merit-based mindset of the world with the faith-based system of God. His main texts are Luke 8:22-25, Psalm 23 and Hebrews 11.

Dustin Rose continues our study in 1 Thessalonians. Here he speaks about sex. These are instructions on how we can live and please God. The text is 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8.

Dustin Rose continues in our study with 1 Thessalonians 2:17-3:13. In this text, Paul shows his affection for the believers of Thessalonica and why they suffer afflictions. Then Dustin concludes with Paul’s example of prayer and how we should pray. Paul prayed earnestly, specifically, constantly and that they would grow in love.

Phil Young speaks about God wanting us “FAT.” This stands for “Faith And Trust.” Here he explains that God wants us to have faith and trust in Himself in all situations. Phil shares lessons of faith from stories of being a missionary in Africa. 

Mark Gliebe speaks on real “Christian Unity.” Here he gives a roadmap to the process of church unity. His main texts are John 17:23, Colossians 3:12-15 and Ephesians 4:1-6,12-16.

Dustin Rose continues our study in 1 Thessalonians. Here he speaks primarily about the Word of God. He also speaks about using Scripture to discern between real and false prophets. Then he speaks about the persecution that we are and will be subjected to for following God’s Word. The main text is 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16.

Dustin Rose continues in our study in 1 Thessalonians. Here he teaches through chapter 2. He uses the example of Paul as a spiritual leader to model how we should lead others in our own lives.
